The ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) is dedicated to enhancing educational standards across the ASEAN region, as outlined in the Bangkok Accord of 2000. The organisation conducts thorough quality assessments, promotes the adoption of best practices, and facilitates training and capacity-building initiatives for member universities.
The Accreditation Agency for Study Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics (ASIIN e.V.) was established in 1999 to support universities in accreditation processes. It focuses on high-quality standards in engineering, natural sciences, and related fields, collaborating with various educational and industry stakeholders to promote academic and professional mobility.
The Quality Management Department, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), is tasked with ensuring the quality of education within Viet Nam. Its primary responsibilities encompass formulating and overseeing quality regulations, as well as accrediting educational institutions; establishing examination protocols, developing question banks, and conducting assessments of educational quality; administering diplomas and certificates, which includes the recognition of international qualifications; and monitoring adherence to transparency regulations within educational institutions. The Department operates in accordance with legal frameworks and provides public services in the education sector.
