VNUHCM-UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE HOSTS WORKING SESSION WITH QIS NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING SERVICES COMPANY LIMITED

On 30 October, VNUHCM-University of Science (HCMUS) welcomed and held a working session with QIS Non-Destructive Testing Services Company Limited to promote cooperation in training, applied research, and the development of high-quality human resources in the fields of Physics – Engineering Physics and related disciplines.

Attending the programme, HCMUS representatives included Assoc. Prof. Trần Lê Quan – President; Dr. Võ Hồng Hải – Deputy Head of the External Relations Office; Dr. Đặng Hoài Trung – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Physics – Engineering Physics; Dr. Phan Lê Hoàng Sang – Deputy Head of the Department of Nuclear Physics, along with specialist staff. The QIS Company delegation comprised Mr. Nguyễn Phi Hùng – Director of the Administration and Human Resources Board; Mr. Đinh Văn Ngư – Director of the Assistant Board; and Ms. Trịnh Khánh Linh – Assistant General Director.

During the working session, both parties agreed to implement numerous cooperative contents, strengthening the link between the university and the enterprise. Specifically, the QIS Scholarship Programme 2025 will be deployed for students with outstanding academic and research achievements, contributing to encouraging the spirit of study, creativity, and applied research in science and engineering.

Representatives of QIS Non-Destructive Testing Service Co., Ltd. and the University discussed scholarship programmes, applied research, and corporate internships within the framework of the 2025 cooperation agreement.

Additionally, QIS plans to commission applied research topics to serve the enterprise’s practical needs, while also encouraging lecturers and students to propose new technological solutions. Both parties also agreed to coordinate the implementation of the Enterprise Internship Programme, creating conditions for students to experience the actual working environment at QIS for approximately two months. Through this, students will hone professional skills, reinforce specialised knowledge, and enhance adaptability to the demands of the labour market.

In the upcoming period, HCMUS and QIS agreed to jointly organise a series of activities, including the QIS Scholarship 2025 Award Ceremony, a specialised Workshop in 2026, and an annual cooperation summary report. The cooperation results will serve as a basis for evaluating effectiveness, leading towards the re-signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a deeper and more sustainable cooperation mechanism.
