On 2 July 2022, the Communist Party of the VNUHCM-University of Science held its periodic activities for all members (twice a year). Within the framework of the meeting, the Communist Party solemnly conducted a ceremony to award the 45-Year Heraldry of the Communist Party of Viet Nam to Prof. Đinh Sỹ Hiền, the former Head of the Department of Electronics in the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications.

After obtaining a doctorate in 1992 and being awarded the titles of Associate Professor of Physics in 1996 and Professor of Physics in 2014, Prof. Đinh Sỹ Hiền had been with the University of Science since 2001. He made significant contributions to the formation and development of the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications. Throughout his career, Prof. Đinh Sỹ Hiền had a profound impact on teaching and research, publishing more than 32 articles in domestic and international scientific journals. Additionally, he was the author and co-author of over 28 articles presented at scientific conferences in Viet Nam and abroad. In 1985, he received the VIFOTEC-2005 award and obtained a patent for his work on the ‘Amplifier with Zero Level Restorer’ from the Soviet Union Institute of Inventions.

The Heraldry of the Communist Party of Viet Nam is a prestigious award bestowed by the Party upon loyal members who are devoted to the Party’s revolutionary path, the country’s development, and the well-being of its people.

Following the awarding ceremony, a summary activity took place to recognise and reward individual Party members who had excellently fulfilled their tasks and achieved commendable accomplishments in 2021 and 2022.
