On 29 July, VNUHCM-University of Science held a working session with Bosch Global Software Technologies Viet Nam to advance cooperation in practice-based Education, enhance student skills, and provide career orientation for technology majors.

The Bosch delegation comprised Dr Khương Anh Dũng – Strategic Programme Manager responsible for university engagement – and Ms Trần Thị Hường – Head of Talent Acquisition. The HCMUS delegation included Dr Võ Hồng Hải – Deputy Head of the External Relations Office; Dr Bùi Trọng Tú – Dean of the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications; Assoc. Prof. Nguyễn Văn Vũ – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology; MSc. Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Hân – Head of the Office of Student Affairs; Dr Huỳnh Hữu Thuận – Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Embedded Systems (Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications), along with representatives from other academic and administrative units.

The two sides reviewed key outcomes from recent collaboration, including the Bosch Embedded Academy (BEA) launched with the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications in 2023, enrolling 100–150 students per intake; the Coderace automotive software competition, where a University team secured second prize nationwide in 2025; the AI Innovation Competition 2025, co-organised with Bosch for students passionate about artificial intelligence; and a series of Job Fairs and Career Seminars linking young talent with employers. The STEM scholarship programme for female students, introduced in 2022, has since developed into the Activator Scholarship, attracting strong participation from University students.

Ms Trần Thị Hường – Head of Talent Acquisition, Bosch Viet Nam – sharing highlights of key collaborative activities between the two parties, such as the Bosch Embedded Academy, Coderace, AI Innovation Competition, and the Activator Scholarship.

Bosch presented a six-month internship programme featuring three phases: familiarisation with corporate systems and operations, intensive technical Education, and direct engagement in high-tech projects, culminating in a comprehensive assessment. Benefits include financial allowances, paid leave, accident insurance, living support, and opportunities to experience global corporate culture through internal Bosch activities.

The session reaffirmed the commitment of HCMUS and Bosch to integrate academic education with industry practice, contributing to the development of a high-quality technology workforce in support of national digital transformation and global integration.
