The HCMUS-AtCoder team from the Faculty of Information Technology, VNUHCM-University of Science, secured a Bronze Medal at the ICPC Asia Pacific Championship 2025, officially earning a spot at the ICPC World Finals 2025 in Azerbaijan.
From 28th February to 1st March 2025, the ICPC Asia Pacific Championship 2025 was held in Singapore, gathering 65 top teams from prestigious universities across the region, including South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Viet Nam, and several other countries. The teams fiercely competed for a place at the ICPC World Finals 2025, which is set to take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, in August-September 2025.
After five hours of intense competition, the HCMUS-AtCoder team from the Faculty of Information Technology, VNUHCM-University of Science, proudly won the Bronze Medal, securing their place in the ICPC World Finals 2025.
The team consisted of three students enrolled in the Advanced Programme in Computer Science (APCS): Võ Khắc Triệu, Vũ Quốc Lâm, and Lê Nguyễn Hữu An. This team achieved the highest ranking among Vietnamese teams at the ICPC Asia Regional held in Hanoi in December 2024.

ICPC, the prestigious and long-standing global programming competition, often referred to as the “Olympic Games” for IT students, was founded in 1970 and is organised by the UPE International Honor Society in the Computing and Information Disciplines (Upsilon Pi Epsilon). It has grown to become a worldwide event. 2025 marked the 12th time that VNUHCM-University of Science had a representative at the World Finals. Previously, the University had made its mark at the ICPC World Finals in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and now in 2025. Notably, since 2020, the University had consistently had teams participating (either in person or virtually) in the ICPC World Finals.
