On the afternoon of 22nd February, the VNUHCM-University of Science held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement with KTEST Science Co., Ltd and Khoa Thuong Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

KTEST Science Co., Ltd. is one of the first companies dedicated to providing next-generation genome sequencing services. Khoa Thuong Biotechnology Co., Ltd., originally part of an infectious disease research group, is affiliated with the Laboratory of Molecular Biology in the Department of Genetics at VNUHCM-University of Science. Both companies operate in the fields of research, production, and supply of molecular biological kits used for diagnosing diseases in humans, livestock, and seafood, as well as providing construction consulting, support engineering, and technology development and transfer to public and private entities, hospitals, and medical centres.

To enhance the functions and missions of the units and improve the effectiveness of training and developing high-quality human resources, the parties discussed and agreed on cooperation in several areas, including training and developing human resources, scientific research and technology transfer, organising events, internships, and recruitment.

During the event, the leaders of the units shared their joy and expressed their belief that the signing of the memorandum of cooperation would pave the way for numerous opportunities for close, long-term collaboration across many aspects.

As a symbol of this cooperation, Khoa Thuong Biotechnology Co., Ltd presented a meaningful gift: a real-time PCR machine. This device will be located in the Department of Genetics within the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology at the University.
