The National Mathematics Olympic for students is part of the annual activities of the Viet Nam Mathematic Association and the Viet Nam Mathematic Development Program in 2021 – 2030 to improve the quality of teaching and learning in Mathematics and to promote the learning movement of students.
This year, the competition took place from April 2nd to 8th in 2023 at Hue University of Education with the participation of more than 615 candidates from 85 universities across the country. Each university has a maximum of 10 participants, taking either or both Algebra and Calculus.
The team of VNUHCM-University of Science consists of 06 members (05 students from the Bachelor of Talent Class, Faculty of Mathematics – Informatics and 01 students of Advanced Program, Faculty of Information Technology), led by DSc. Vũ Đỗ Huy Cường as Team Leader, MSc. Võ Đức Cẩm Hải as Deputy Team Leader. With serious preparation, the high determination of teachers and students and the attention of the university’s leadership, the University‘s Mathematics Olympic team won 10 medals:
