In the first quarter of 2024, the Stem Cell Institute, VNUHCM-University of Science, introduced advanced technologies in stem cells and platelet-rich plasma to medical facilities throughout the central provinces of Viet Nam.
The Institute aimed to diversify treatment methods and provide more options for patients in the central region. They presented their technologies to various hospitals and medical centres in these provinces and planned to expand their reach to additional areas. Associate Professor Phạm Văn Phúc, the Director of the Institute, shared his insights on disease treatment using mesenchymal stem cells at Quy Hòa National Leprosy Dermatology Hospital. This initiative seeks to enhance healthcare effectiveness in the central provinces and foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the medical community.
