In the first quarter of 2024, the Stem Cell Institute at VNUHCM-University of Science has been actively introducing advanced stem cell and platelet-rich plasma technologies to medical facilities in the central provinces of the country.
The institute aims to diversify treatment methods and provide more options for patients in the central region. They have introduced their technologies to several hospitals and medical centres in the central provinces, with plans to expand to other provinces as well. Associate Professor Phạm Văn Phúc, the Director of the Institute, shared insights about disease treatment using mesenchymal stem cells at Quy Hoa National Leprosy Dermatology Hospital. This initiative aims to improve healthcare effectiveness in the central provinces and encourages collaboration and knowledge sharing within the medical community.
