COOPERATION AGREEMENT SIGNING CEREMONY BETWEEN VNUHCM-UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND VNUHCM-UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES

On 21 October 2025, VNUHCM-University of Science (HCMUS) convened the Signing Ceremony for a Cooperation Agreement with VNUHCM-University of Health Sciences (VNUHCM-UHS). This event represents a significant milestone in strengthening education and research links between these two member institutions of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM), with the objective of constructing a multi-disciplinary academic ecosystem serving both the community and society.

During the proceedings, Assoc. Prof. Trần Lê Quan – President of HCMUS and Prof. Phan Bách Thắng – President of VNUHCM-UHS formally executed the Memorandum of Understanding. Collaboration will centre on bolstering education, scientific inquiry, and resource sharing. Regarding key areas of cooperation, the parties shall coordinate efforts in education and research, leveraging respective strengths to establish highly applicable interdisciplinary study programmes and projects.

Concerning student support, the agreement encompasses the co-supervision of scientific research for undergraduates and postgraduates, thereby creating conditions for learners to engage in practical topics bridging basic and applied research. Furthermore, the universities aim to share facilities and resources, comprising library systems, laboratories, visiting faculty, and education management expertise within the VNUHCM system.

Addressing the assembly, leadership representatives affirmed that such cooperation contributes to promoting internal institutional strength while enhancing academic connectivity across the entire VNUHCM system. Through this partnership, the parties anticipate the joint development of interdisciplinary education programmes, applied research endeavours, and technology transfer activities closely aligned with socio-economic development needs and community healthcare.

The cooperation agreement between HCMUS and VNUHCM-UHS remains effective for a period of five years from the date of signature. Such partnership creates opportunities for sustainable development and tighter cohesion among VNUHCM units, targeting the generation of high-quality human resources and positive societal contributions.
