VNUHCM-UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE WELCOMES DELEGATION FROM NATIONAL CHUNG HSING UNIVERSITY (TAIWAN)

Ho Chi Minh City, 24 October 2025 — VNUHCM-University of Science (HCMUS) hosted a working session with a delegation from National Chung Hsing University (NCHU, Taiwan) to strengthen academic cooperation, particularly in agriculture, biology, and environmental engineering.

The delegation included Mr Wei-Chih Lin, Director of the Education Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City (TECO), together with associate and assistant professors from NCHU. Representing HCMUS were Dr Võ Hồng Hải, Deputy Head of the Office of External Relations, and academic staff from the Faculties of Biology–Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Physics–Engineering Physics.

During the meeting, HCMUS introduced academic programmes and research capabilities, highlighting key strengths in biotechnology such as plant physiology and biochemistry, microbial technology, cell technology, and biosensing. NCHU representatives shared academic initiatives and technological priorities across areas including smart agriculture, bio-industrial mechatronics, veterinary science, and animal science. Several projects applying artificial intelligence to crop management and livestock health diagnostics were identified as potential areas for collaboration.
