Over 81 years of establishment and development, the VNUHCM-University of Sciences has determined its mission to be central to training, research, development and application of science and technology, providing human resources and scientific and technological products to meet the country’s socio-economic development requirements. From 2021 to 2025, the University aims to maintain the leading position in the country in fundamental science and some essential scientific technologies, contributing to the goal of bringing Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, to 15,000 announced Scopus and entering the list of the Top 100 leading Universities in Asia.

Determining scientific research – technology transfer and international cooperation always go hand in hand and support the professional activities of the University, the Science Conference of the University of Sciences takes place every two years. This is a forum for domestic and foreign scientists to present research results for all scientific disciplines, fields of research and education of the University; a place to exchange and find ideas and solutions to science and technology problems; stimulate cooperation; form interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary research. The conference is also an opportunity for young scientists, graduate students, and students to share their research.

This year’s conference will take place from November 21^st to November 26^th, and is organized in collaboration between Viet Nam National University, Ho Chi Minh City and the Military Institute of Science and Technology, a Viet Nam leading research institute in the field of fundamental science, military science and technology serving national security.

The Organizing Committee of the 13^th Science Conference in 2022 is delighted to receive the registration of 572 papers from many training institutions and domestic and foreign research institutes related to many branches of natural science and technology such as Information and Communication Technology, Geology and Earth Resources, Electronics and Telecommunications, Chemistry, Materials Science and Technology, Nuclear Engineering and Medical Physics, Environment, Biology – Biotechnology, Mathematics – Informatics.

Within the framework of the program, the Opening Ceremony of the Conference was held on the morning of November 21^st , with the participation of Colonel Prof. Dr Nguyễn Việt Bắc, Prof. Dr Yu-Chen Hu (Tsinghua University – Taiwan, China) and Assoc. Dr Đào Nguyên Khôi through scientific reports. At the same time, the University of Sciences also solemnly honoured 03 scientists who won the Science and Technology Prize in 2022 and were awarded the Lê Văn Thới Award in 2022 for excellent graduation topics.
