VNUHCM–UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE STRENGTHENS ACADEMIC PARTNERSHIPS WITH INTERNATIONAL COUNTERPARTS

On 10 March, at the Nguyen Van Cu campus, VNUHCM–University of Science (HCMUS) hosted a meeting and signing ceremony for Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with several universities from Taiwan. The event was attended by representatives from over 20 universities and international educational organisations, alongside delegates from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, the University Management Board, faculty members, and students.

Within the framework of the programme, HCMUS formalised partnerships with six universities: Asia University, National Dong Hwa University, Tzu Chi University, National Taipei University, National Taipei University of Technology, and Fo Guang University. These agreements establish a foundation for collaborative initiatives, including student and faculty exchanges, joint academic seminars, and the future development of collaborative degree programmes.

Following the signing ceremony, university representatives presented overviews of their respective institutions, research specialisms, and international student provisions. These presentations focused on academic curricula, scholarship opportunities, and campus life in Taiwan, providing HCMUS students and faculty with valuable insights into prospective study and research pathways.

The event also facilitated dedicated networking sessions between the participating institutions. Representatives from the visiting universities and HCMUS departments exchanged information and explored potential synergies in teaching and research for the coming years. This meeting and MoU signing serve as a significant opportunity for HCMUS and the visiting delegation to share expertise, broaden academic networks, and promote exchange schemes in both education and scientific inquiry.
