Attended the 14^th IEEE International Conference on Knowledge and Systems Engineering (KSE 2022) and the 36^th Asia Pacific Conference on Languages, Information and Computing (PACLIC 2022), groups of student authors and students from the Faculty of Mathematics – Informatics, VNUHCM-University of Science has achieved excellent results.

1. “Runner-up Best Paper Award” at KSE 2022

The service industry is playing a vital role in our lives, especially at a time when everything is more online. Manufacturers are also among them, especially in sectors related to online product sales – where they constantly receive customer feedback. Understanding that factor, the group of students based on the provided data and optimized the results, from which they came up with a more effective predictive model than the previous algorithms to evaluate the overall (content, products purchased) to more detail the emotional levels (satisfied, neutral or unsatisfied). In addition to providing a general solution, the research team also sets out goals and directions for the future to help the problem achieve better results.

KSE is the most prestigious scientific conference in Viet Nam in information technology, held annually since 2008 in Japan and Thailand. The conference is technically sponsored by the world’s leading scientific and technical organization – the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and accepted for publication on IEEE Xplore – a highly reputable electronic library system, which is well-represented references and citations in many studies in the field of Electronic Technology and Information Technology. This year, KSE 2022 is organized by the University of the Pacific and the University of Technology (Viet Nam National University, Ha Noi) from October 19^th  to October 21^st  in Nha Trang, with the participation of 60 presentations from nearly 100 national and international scientists and researchers.

2. Award “The 1st Runner-Up Best Paper Award in Computing” at PACLIC 2022

Advertising information about online products (e-commerce, real estate, etc.) is increasingly popular in Viet Nam. The article presents simple and practical approaches to classifying helpful information on online advertising sites. The experimental results of the paper achieve high efficiency compared to previous methods.

The 36^th Annual Meeting of the Asia Pacific Conference on Languages, Information and Computation (PACLIC 36) is one of the most prestigious international conferences (rank B – CORE) in the field of Processing of Natural Languages and was held in the Philippines from October 20^th  to October 22^nd, 2022. This 3-day conference was co-hosted by De La Salle University (Manila, Philippines), College of Computer and Information Technologies (CCIT), Manlia National University (Philippines), and Lasallian Institute for Development and Education Research (LIDER).
