On 2022 November 19^th, the VNUHCM-University of Sciences together with the Alumni Community Interim Representative Board, successfully organized ‘the Conference of Science Alumni Community – the 1^st ‘ bringing together hundreds of alumni from many generations. The Congress unanimously elects the Official Representative Board of the Science Alumni Community for the term 2022-2025 and the Regulation on the organization and operation of the Representative Board.

After more than 80 years of establishment and development through many historical periods of the country, the VNUHCM-University of Sciences aims to become a leading university in Viet Nam and Southeast Asia in training, scientific research, foundational technology of knowledge economy and digital economy. The University’s reputation and academic position have been confirmed by its reputation for education, scientific research achievements and the success of generations of alums in diverse fields.

 

 

With the idea of creating a connection, exchange and cooperation between the Alumni Community and the University and inside the Alumni Community, on August 14^th, 2022, the Interim Representative Board and the Science Alumni Community Honorary Representative Board were officially established. After three months of operation, with the support of connections from units in the University, the Interim Representative Board has taken the first steps to outspread and act towards building a solid alum community and directly contribute to the development of the University and the community.

 

 

 

Conference of Science Alumni Community – 2022 is a great festival for the University’s Alumni and a brick that lays a solid foundation for the new development phase of the Faculty’s Alumni Community. During the first term, the Alumni Representative Board will implement five action programs, including Connection – Contribution – Support – Cooperation – Brand development.

The activity goal of the Science Alumni Community is to contribute to building the brand ‘University of Science’, connecting and having practical activities for the entire community of alumni, current students, and the University, together, reinforce its strategy of ‘Self-Reliance’ in a long-term, sustainable way and promote cooperation in training, research, science and technology transmission, hence producing beneficial values for the community and society.
