On the morning of 12th November, the Information Technology and Communication Subcommittee officially opened as part of the 14th Scientific Conference at the University of Science, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City. The event, organised by the Faculty of Information Technology, featured the participation of numerous scientists, lecturers, researchers, and students in the field of information technology, all united to share and update the latest advancements in the discipline.
The Subcommittee took place from 12 to 13 November, covering intriguing topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Data Security, and many other fascinating subjects.
Over the course of the two-day event, both domestic and international experts participated, alongside the leadership, lecturers, and researchers of the Faculty of Information Technology, who presented their research projects to attendees. Notably, Prof. Fukuzawa Masayuki, who presented on 12th November, from the Kyoto Institute of Technology (Japan), delivered a presentation on “Data-Driven approaches of Image Analysis Methods for Industrial and Medical Applications.”
Additionally, Mr. Đỗ Hoài Nam, the Co-founder and CTO of Phygital Labs, held a session entitled “A Journey of a Tech Startup.”
Alongside this, a panel discussion titled “Guidance and Experiences in Navigating Ph.D. Studies” featuring Prof. Nguyễn Nhựt Tiến from the University of Texas at Dallas (USA) took place on 13th November, providing valuable information and leaving a lasting impression on the participants.
The discussion sessions not only addressed advanced trends and technologies but also concentrated on the challenges associated with implementation and application. This served as an excellent opportunity for attendees to broaden their perspectives, share knowledge, explore collaboration opportunities, and promote the sustainable growth of the information technology sector while discovering innovative solutions.
