On 04 September, a Memorandum of Cooperation on training was signed at VNUHCM–University of Science (HCMUS) between HCMUS and Q.I.S Non-Destructive Testing Services Company Limited.

On the part of HCMUS, those attending the ceremony included Associate Professor Trần Lê Quan – President; along with representatives of the Office of External Relations and the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics. On the part of Q.I.S, attendees included Mr Lê Văn Nghi – Chairman and General Director – together with representatives of several units within the Company.

Addressing the ceremony, Associate Professor Trần Lê Quan commended the results of the cooperation between the two parties to date, and expressed the hope that the Memorandum would further expand learning, practical experience and employment opportunities for students. Representing Q.I.S, Mr Lê Văn Nghi spoke of the need to develop high-quality human resources, particularly within the renewable energy sector, and affirmed the readiness of the Company to accompany HCMUS in training and research activities.

The Memorandum sets out the content of practical training cooperation and human resource development for students of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics and the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology. Under the agreement, Q.I.S will provide annual scholarships for third-year and final-year students facing financial hardship who have achieved excellent academic results.

The two parties will also jointly implement a practical training programme at Q.I.S during the summer term, from July to September. Students taking part in the programme will have the opportunity to obtain international certification under the ASNT/PCN/ISO 9712 standards, along with access to employment opportunities following training. In addition, the two parties will jointly carry out projects according to the practical needs of Q.I.S.

This marks the renewal of the cooperation agreement between HCMUS and Q.I.S, with the term of cooperation extended from three years to five, further strengthening the cooperative relationship between HCMUS and Q.I.S in training, research and human resource development.
