On the morning of 19th December 2022, the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology at the VNUHCM-University of Science, commenced the AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance) accreditation and assessment programme for its master’s training programme in Materials Science.
In the afternoon of the same day, the evaluation team inspected the facilities across both campuses of the University. The experts provided feedback and suggestions, expressing high appreciation for the preparation by both the faculty and departments.
AUN-QA comprises a set of rigorous quality standards with specific and transparent criteria, focusing on evaluating the conditions necessary to ensure quality in the training provided by the entire programme.
AUN-QA accreditation is set to assist the Master’s training programme in Materials Science in gradually establishing its reputation on the international stage.
On 20th December 2022, the AUN-QA assessment delegates conducted an evaluation and accreditation of the training quality through interview sessions with teaching staff and graduate students enrolled in the Master’s programme in Materials Science.
The third day, 21st December 2022, saw the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology collaborate with the AUN-QA delegates to inspect and analyse the Master’s programme in Materials Science. The assessment included three interview sessions with:

On 22nd December 2022, the fourth day of assessment, the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology engaged with the AUN-QA assessment delegates to further assess the training quality of the Master’s programme in Materials Science.
On the morning of 23rd December 2022, the closing session of the AUN-QA accreditation programme for the Master’s training programme in Materials Science took place. This marked the conclusion of a five-day series of activities with the AUN-QA assessment delegates.
Through interviews with leaders of faculties and departments, lecturers, graduate students, support staff, former students, and recruiters, the evaluation team gained a comprehensive understanding of the educational programme from various perspectives, including output standards, programme framework, teaching staff, facilities, quality assurance, and the connections between the University, students, and enterprises.
The event was successfully conducted with the participation of faculty members, students, alumni, and business representatives. The Faculty of Materials Science and Technology expressed gratitude to all those who offered their sincere support to the programme.
