On the morning of 9th September 2024, a successful signing ceremony for the memorandum of understanding between VNUHCM-University of Science and Dong Nai University took place at the Nguyen Van Cu campus in District 5.
The event was attended by representatives from the leadership of both institutions, alongside numerous faculty members and representatives from various departments, highlighting a commitment to collaboration between the two educational establishments. The aim was to work towards a common goal of developing high-quality human resources and implementing advanced training programmes that responded to societal needs.
Representatives from VNUHCM-University of Science included:
– Assoc. Prof. Trần Minh Triết, Vice President of the University;
– Assoc. Prof. Ngô Đại Nghiệp, Head of the Office of External Relations;
– Representatives from the leadership of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics, the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, and the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology.
Representatives from Dong Nai University included:
– Dr. Lê Anh Đức, President of the University;
– Assoc. Prof. Huỳnh Bùi Linh Chi, Head of the Academic Affairs Office;
– Representatives from the leadership of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Education and the Faculty of Engineering.
The content of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties focused on several key areas:
1. Development of Training Programmes: Both institutions committed to researching and implementing new fields of study, particularly those aligned with societal needs and global development trends.
2. Research Collaboration and Technology Transfer: The two parties agreed to promote scientific research projects and collaborate on the transfer of advanced technology to the community and businesses, with the aim of enhancing the effectiveness of technology applications in practice.
3. Organisation of Scientific Seminars: Their collaboration includes organising specialised seminars to introduce new technological applications, providing opportunities for faculty and students from both institutions to access advanced and updated knowledge.
4. Preparation of Scientific Materials: Both parties committed to collaborating on the preparation and publication of textbooks, academic books, and high-value scientific papers, contributing to the improvement of training and research quality.
5. Faculty and Resource Exchange: An agreement was reached on the coordinated use of resources, equipment, and professional expertise from both sides to support each other in teaching and research activities.
This event not only opened up numerous new collaboration opportunities but also affirmed the commitment of both universities to enhancing the quality of education, research, and community service. This cooperation was expected to lay a solid foundation for future development.
VNUHCM-University of Science and Dong Nai University hoped that this collaboration would lead to even greater success in training and developing high-quality human resources while also bringing practical benefits to society.
