On 28 August, VNUHCM–University of Science (HCMUS) organized a ceremony to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Labee Company Limited. The agreement aims to strengthen connection between academic training, scientific research, and business practice, whilst creating further opportunities for students to access real-world working environments.

The ceremony was attended by Associate Professor Trần Lê Quan, President of HCMUS, and Mr Nguyễn Hồ Xuân Lộc, Chief Executive Officer of Labee Company Limited, alongside representatives from relevant departments and offices of both parties.

According to the signed MOU, both organizations agreed to establish a cooperative relationship based on voluntary, equal, and mutually beneficial principles to leverage the strengths and resources of each side across training, research, career orientation, and human resource development.

A key focal point of the agreement involves jointly organizing periodic internship programs, field trips, and corporate experience activities for HCMUS students. Through these initiatives, students gain opportunities to explore real-world operational processes, quality management systems, supply chains, and customer services within the enterprise, thereby supplementing practical knowledge alongside their academic foundation acquired at the University.

In addition to internship activities, Labee Company Limited will collaborate with the University to share recruitment information, conduct career counseling sessions, and deliver workplace skills training for students. The company also pledged to prioritize application dossiers from HCMUS students and alumni when suitable recruitment needs arise.

Within the framework of cooperation, both parties aim to organize specialized seminars, workshops, and panel discussions featuring experts, scientists, and corporate representatives. These activities focus on fields aligned with the mutual strengths of both sides, such as Chemistry, Biology, Food Technology, testing, and scientific research, thereby contributing to updating professional knowledge, technological trends, and practical requirements from the labor market.

Furthermore, in its role as a corporate partner, Labee Company Limited will support the University in connecting with domestic and international enterprises, manufacturers, and partners. This network expansion provides further foundations for HCMUS to broaden its partnership ecosystem, capture human resource demands, and enhance practical applicability across training and research endeavors.

The Memorandum of Understanding remains effective for a two-year period from the signing date. The partnership between HCMUS and Labee Company Limited represents an initiative to expand university-industry linkages, contributing to improving educational quality, broadening career experiences for students, and supporting human resource development to meet societal needs.
