This morning (December 24^th, 2022), the delegation of the VNUHN-University of Sciences visited and worked at the VNUHCM-University of Sciences.

The delegation of the VNUHN-University of Sciences was led by Prof. Dr Lê Thanh Sơn – Vice Rector, together with leaders of faculties and affiliated units, including Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyễn Thị Hồng Minh – Head of Training Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr Phạm Tiến Đức – Deputy Head of the Training Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr Đào Sỹ Đức – Vice Dean of Faculty of Chemistry; MSc. Lê Thị Vân – Head of Planning and Finance Department.

Members of the VNUHCM-University of Sciences participating in welcoming the delegation include Assoc. Prof. Dr Trần Lê Quan – Rector, Prof. Dr Nguyễn Thị Thanh Mai – Vice Rector and leaders of the Chemistry Faculty, Training Department, Graduate Training Department, Organization and Administration Department, External Relations Department, Equipment Management Department, and Information and Communication Department.

At the opening, Assoc.Prof. Dr Trần Lê Quan shared the joy of welcoming the delegation from the VNUHN-University of Sciences when Rectors of the two institutions had previously had the invitation to come to visit and discuss cooperation opportunities and share experiences in the development process of 02 leading universities in the country with the mission of training in the field of basic science.

After that, Prof. Dr Lê Thanh Sơn sent cordial greetings of Prof. Dr Vũ Hoàng Linh – Rector of the VNUHN-University of Sciences (he could not attend due to his busy schedule) and expressed his expectation that today’s meeting will be the starting foundation for two Universities have deeper cooperation. Prof.Dr Sơn also shared his joy for being warmly and thoughtfully welcomed by the VNUHCM-University of Sciences.

The work occurs in an open atmosphere, sharing experiences in undergraduate and postgraduate education, especially in primary sciences education. Furthermore, both universities have made concrete proposals to reach cooperation agreements right after this occasion, believing that the basic sciences will make great strides and attract many students, including research collaborations, credit exchanges, opening interdisciplinary training, etc.

In the afternoon, the delegation will visit Thủ Đức, Dĩ An campus to learn about the governance model and practical operation methods for 02 campuses to apply to the Hoa Lạc campus of the VNUHN-University of Sciences in the coming times.

Six months ago, two Departments of Chemistry at 02 Universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding from 2022 to 2025.
