Three institutions formalise collaboration
On 18 August, Dalat University hosted the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding among VNUHCM-University of Science, Dalat University, and the Japanese organisation AIYUGO. The agreement focuses on three core areas: academic exchange, student mobility programmes, and community service initiatives.
Under the agreement, HCMUS and partner institutions will advance joint scientific conferences, short-term training courses, and professional development programmes for lecturers, researchers, and students. Such activities highlight the standing of HCMUS as a leading centre of education and research in the natural sciences, while strengthening the exchange of knowledge and expertise with universities in Viet Nam and abroad.

A major feature of the agreement is the creation of short-term and long-term student exchange programmes between HCMUS and Dalat University, supported by AIYUGO in linking resources and partners in Japan. The programmes will open opportunities for students to participate in international learning environments, enhance professional and intercultural skills, and foster integration. Beyond academic collaboration, the three parties also committed to joint community service projects targeting practical social challenges, mobilising financial, human, and technological resources to deliver sustainable benefits.
Through this partnership, HCMUS affirms a pioneering role in international cooperation, contributing not only to research and education but also to broader social development.
