BUSINESS SEMINAR “COOPERATION BETWEEN THE UNIVERSITY AND ENTERPRISES” – CONNECTING THE FUTURE OF THE ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY

On the morning of 12th September, the business seminar titled “Cooperation between the University and Enterprises” took place at the Nguyen Van Cu campus in District 5, University of Science, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City.

The event was organised by the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications and was attended by Dr. Bùi Trọng Tú (Dean of the Faculty), Dr. Đặng Lê Khoa (Vice Dean of the Faculty and Head of the Telecommunications and Network Department), Mr. Cao Trần Bảo Thương (Vice Dean of the Faculty), Dr. Huỳnh Hữu Thuận (Head of the Computer and Embedded Systems Department), and Dr. Lê Đức Hùng (Head of the Electronics Department and Director of the DESLab), along with numerous lecturers, teaching assistants, and staff from the Faculty.

The seminar welcomed 15 leading enterprises in the field of Electronics and Telecommunications, as well as Microchip Design, including Ampere Computing, ASIC Technologies, BOS Semiconductors, Bosch Global Software Technologies, Faraday Technology, FPT Telecom, HPT Viet Nam Corporation, Marvell Technology, ITR VN, Renesas Design, Semifive, Synopsys, TMA Technology Group, Viettel Semiconductor Technology, and VNPT Telecommunications HCMC.

Over the past two years, the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications had implemented more than 30 cooperation programmes with enterprises, focusing on career orientation, skills training, technology sharing, and organising practical visits. These programmes not only enabled students to access new technologies but also connected them to numerous internship and employment opportunities after graduation.

The seminar commenced with a presentation by Dr. Đặng Lê Khoa, who highlighted the collaborative activities between the Faculty and various enterprises, as well as potential future cooperation directions. The discussions primarily revolved around the quality of graduates in the field of Electronics and Telecommunications, emerging technological trends related to the operational sectors of the enterprises, and the collaborative model between enterprises and educational institutions.

The participating enterprises expressed high regard for the quality of training at the Faculty and actively provided feedback, demonstrating a strong desire for cooperation and a long-term commitment to the University of Science, particularly the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications.

The seminar served not only as a bridge between the University and the enterprises but also affirmed the commitment of the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications to training high-quality human resources that meet the demands of the 4.0 technology market. It is hoped that the outcomes from the seminar will pave the way for more specific cooperation opportunities in the future.
