On the morning of 6th October, the Faculty of Information Technology at the University of Science, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, hosted the opening ceremony for the ICPC HCMUS 2024 season. The event attracted participation from 116 student teams, alongside 16 teams comprised of talented high school students from various local secondary schools. Each team consists of three members, all of whom are prepared to face the intense programming challenges of this highly competitive contest.

The results from this season will play a decisive role in selecting teams for the Southern ICPC as well as the National ICPC Online 2024. These two rounds will serve as the basis for the University of Science to review and establish its ICPC team, allowing them to participate in the ICPC Asia Regional Contest (ICPC Asia Ha Noi 2024). This event is scheduled to take place at Ha Noi University of Industry (HaUI) from 10th to 13th December 2024.

ICPC Asia Ha Noi 2024 promises to be an ideal battleground for teams competing for a spot at the ICPC World Finals for the 49th time. Furthermore, it will present an opportunity to contest in the preliminary round of the ICPC Asia Pacific Championship in March 2025 in Singapore, with aspirations of securing a ticket to the WF49 final.
