At 8:00 a.m., on October 5^th, 2022, at the Nguyen Van Cu Campus, the Council of the VNUHCM-University of Science held the 9th session, the 1^st course.

With attendance:

– Members of the Council of the VNUHCMUniversity of Science (according to Resolution No. 19/NQ-HĐHQG on October 13^th, 2020 of the National University Council Ho Chi Minh City.

– Members of the Supervisory Board of the University Council (according to Resolution No. 783/NQ-HDT on May 24^th, 2022, of the VNUHCM-Council of the University of Science)

– Guest: Prof.Dr Nguyễn Thị Thanh Mai, Vice Rector

Meeting with the following topics:

1. Report on the results of the implementation of the Strategic Plan until October 2022 (Quarterly 2 and Quarterly 3);
2. Approving the Regulation on Organization and Operation of the Study Encouragement – Talent Encouragement Fund, VNUHCM-University of Science and appointing the Fund Management Council;
3. Report requesting policy on the organization of the University apparatus:

– Reorganized and merged the Circuit Design Laboratory in the Department of Electronics, Faculty of Physics – Engineering Physics.

– Reorganized and merged the Department of Quantitative Finance into the Department of Probability and Statistics.

– Renamed “Legal and Intellectual Property Inspection Division” to “Inspection and Legal Department”. Transferring the Intellectual Property function from the Legal – Intellectual Property Inspection Department to the Science and Technology Department.

4. Report requesting policy for opening the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Science and opening the Faculty of Integrated Science for postgraduate education;
5. Report requesting policy for establishing the Central of Brand Development and Community Connection (HBC);
6. Report on the work of the Interim Representative Board of Science Alumni Community;
7. Report on the current financial situation and directions for the diversification of revenue sources of the University.

The members of the University Council had many points of view to develop the above contents, as well as suggestions for policies, the organizational structure of the University, and financial orientation, to promote the development of the University in the future.
