Vingroup established the Vingroup Innovation Foundation (VINIF) with the primary objective of providing support to scientists and young talents from universities and institutes to develop world-class scientific, technological, and innovative research in the fields of science, technology, engineering, medicine, economics, and Education, with the ultimate objective of bringing about positive and sustainable changes for Viet Nam.

Assoc.Prof. Phạm Kim Ngọc, Head of the Department of Nanomaterials and Thin Films, Faculty of Materials Science and Technology received funding in 2023 for the project “Research on resistive switching Materials, Design and Manufacture of Memory Chips for application in Artificial Neural Networks”.

Researcher MSc. Nguyễn Ngọc Thuỷ, working at the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology, received a scholarship from VINIF’s Doctoral Scholarship Programme in Materials Science.
