On June 22nd and June 24th, Graduation Ceremony was held at the University of Science for 551 students with Doctor and Master’s degrees. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic of Covid – 19, students who graduated in 2021 and 2022 were given at the same time.
As a representative for the Board of Directors, Assoc.Prof.Dr Trần Lê Quan – Rector of the University of Science, shared the consequences that lecturers and students had to face for the whole two years because of the Covid–19 epidemic, failing to complete the course on time; at the same time congratulated on the achievements and expecting good things on the steps ahead of the new PhDs and new Masters. “From now on, you are scientists, and we are colleagues. So please, stay in touch to develop this beautiful relationship throughout the activities of the Alumni Community. Good luck to you all. I wish you happiness, success and opportunity advancement. Hope you all can glorify our Home – University of Science” – Assoc.Prof.Dr Trần Lê Quan expressed.
New Doctor Võ Quốc Khương, who currently works at the Faculty of Chemistry, also represented the other new Doctors and Masters to express their emotions and pride when studying at the University of Science. “I promise to continue to study, research, cultivate professional knowledge, bring our intellectuality to apply creatively to work at each position, and transmit the flame of passion for Science to the students – the next generation – so that they can contribute their efforts and wisdom to the construction and development of the country”, Mr Khương said.
Within the framework of the ceremony, the representative of the University sent greetings and flowers of gratitude to the instructors who accompanied the students to perfect today’s achievements and also showed appreciation to the Partners who have contributed to improving the quality of programs.
The current scale of postgraduate training at the University of Science is 34 master’s disciplines, including 1276 Master’s Students and 29 doctoral training disciplines with 201 Doctor Students. Student support activities are always a priority of the University to ensure the most suitable learning environment for all subjects; many scholarships are still maintained and awarded to learners every year, such as Pony Chung, Vallet, the Scholarship program for Domestic Masters and Doctoral Training of Vingroup Innovation Fund (VINIF), Postgraduate Scholarships of VNUHCM, etc.
