At 14:00 on 6 June, Concert No. 5 of the “Youth Symphony” series, entitled “Chamber Music: A Dialogue of Sound”, will take place in Lecture Hall 1 at the VNUHCM-University of Science (227 Nguyen Van Cu Street, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City).
This artistic initiative, launched by the Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, aims to promote the value of classical music within academic environments, nurturing the intellectual, emotional, and aesthetic life of the younger generation. The University of Science is honoured to serve as the host institution for this performance.
Under the direction of conductor Trần Nhật Minh, the event promises a refined musical experience, where chamber music unfolds as an emotionally rich conversation between instruments, performers, and audience members. Attendees will be guided through timeless works by renowned international composers, exploring artistic depth through intricate harmonies and experiencing the elegant and contemplative beauty of this classical genre.
According to the organising committee, the concert will combine live performance with interactive exchange, offering a more accessible and engaging approach to chamber music. This format seeks to bring a traditionally formal genre closer to younger audiences through a more conversational and emotionally resonant presentation.
“Youth Symphony” is a concert series running from January to July 2025, comprising seven programmes that showcase a diverse range of musical styles, such as symphonic works, opera, Broadway musicals, and jazz, among others.
