On the morning of 20th July, the Union of VNUHCM-University of Sciences held a ceremony to present the Nguyễn Đức Cảnh scholarships for the academic year 2021 – 2022.

At the event, children of officers, officials, and employees working at the University enjoyed circus performances and arts and crafts, participated in traditional games, visited food and souvenir stalls, and received gift vouchers from the Organising Committee.

In line with the spirit of the Nguyễn Đức Cảnh Scholarship, initiated by the Ho Chi Minh City Labour Confederation to honour the achievements of children of officers, officials, and employees, the Union Executive Board of VNUHCM-University of Science awarded the Nguyễn Đức Cảnh scholarships to 20 students who had overcome difficulties and excelled across all grades. A total of 233 students had demonstrated excellence in their studies. However, those who were admitted to the University in 2022 would receive their awards after obtaining their university admission letters. Over the years, the awarding of Nguyễn Đức Cảnh scholarships has become an effective and practical means of connecting with Union members, employees, and Union organisations, while simultaneously encouraging a spirit of learning and perseverance, motivating the children to strive for improvement each day.

The Union Executive Board of VNUHCM-University of Science expressed gratitude to the sponsors, supporters, Youth Unions, and Divisional Unions that collaborated to contribute to the success of the event and promote its core values, as well as to mobilise resources for the benefit of the children of officers, officials, and employees.
