On August 17^th, 2023, the VNUHCM-University of Science held a Signing Ceremony of MoU in the fields of scientific research and technology transfer, educating and developing human resources with Viet Nam Petroleum Technical Services Joint Stock Corporation ( short for PTSC).

Attending the Signing Ceremony were Mr Trần Hoài Nam – Deputy General Director of PTSC, and members of the company’s leadership board. On the side of the VNUHCM-University of Science was the presence of Assoc.Prof.Dr Trần Minh Triết – Vice Rector and leaders of the faculties of Chemistry, Geology, Electronics – Telecommunications, and Materials Science and Technology, leaders of the Foreign Relations Department and the Student Affairs Department.

PTSC is a member enterprise of Viet Nam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam – PVN) and a leading corporation in providing technical services to the oil and gas, industry and renewable energy in the region. PTSC aims to become a reputable international brand and a leading package solution provider in the energy sector with a focus on the offshore Oil and Gas industry.

 

 

Sharing at the signing ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr Trần Minh Triết – VNUHCM-US affirmed that this Signing will be a milestone marking the beginning of a wide-scale cooperation between the University and PTSC, towards long-term development and sustainability.

 

 

Mr Trần Hoài Nam – PTSC proposed: “Our company is growing day by day, so the demand for our human resources is getting bigger and bigger. That’s why we look forward to partnering with your University and our company’s target is the students who have finished their freshman year. At this time, they already have certain understanding and awareness about their future profession, but still not yet decide their career orientation after graduation. So this is the perfect timing for both sides to explore each other and buy our company time finding and training suitable candidates for the required positions. Besides, we also have the need to re-train and foster current employees for better adaptation to the new job positions”.

 

 

The successful MoU Signing Ceremony between the VNUHCM-University of Science and Viet Nam Petroleum Technical Services Joint Stock Corporation has opened a future for long-term cooperation between the two units in general. It is also a steady base for both sides to build a detailed cooperation plan to effectively exploit the resources and advantages to achieve the set achievement.
