In the first quarter of 2024, the Stem Cell Institute, VNUHCM-University of Science actively introduced technologies of advanced stem cells and platelet-rich plasma to Medical facilities in the central provinces of Viet Nam.

The Institute aimed to diversify treatment methods and provide more options for patients in the central region. They introduced their technologies to several hospitals and medical centres in the central provinces and planned to expand to other provinces. Associate Professor Phạm Văn Phúc, the Director of the Institute, shared his insights about disease treatment using mesenchymal stem cells at Quy Hoa National Leprosy Dermatology Hospital. This initiative strived to improve healthcare effectiveness in the central provinces and encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing within the medical community.
