On 1st October, the Innovate Viet Nam 2024 officially commenced, attracting significant interest from experts, businesses, organisations, both domestically and internationally, alongside various higher education institutions. At this important event, the VNUHCM-University of Science was presented and collaborated with the Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to the promotion of innovation in education and research.

The event was organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, with the attendance of Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính and leaders from various ministries, committees, and sectors, as well as representatives from central and local agencies. This occasion also marked the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the National Innovation Centre (NIC). The event not only provided an opportunity for the University of Science to showcase advanced technological products developed by lecturers and students but also laid the groundwork for networking and sharing among participants.

Within the framework of the event, several standout products from the University garnered significant attention from the community, including:

– XRFireFighter: A solution using mixed reality technology aimed at supporting fire prevention and firefighting training.

– Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space: A virtual reality application that allowed users to learn about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh.

– High-speed data detection chip: A product utilising CAM technology with a 65nm memory, designed for advanced technological applications.

– Astronomy Game in Educational Technology: An augmented reality solution that supported the teaching of Astronomy, developed through collaboration between the Interdisciplinary Science Faculty, SELab, and the Faculty of Information Technology.

This year, the participation of the University of Science reaffirmed the institution’s significant role in developing the innovation ecosystem in Viet Nam. The event was a remarkable success, continuing to serve as motivation for the University to expand research and technological applications while also fostering the country’s innovative potential.
