The Faculty of Biology — Biotechnology and the Faculty of Chemistry of the VNUHCM-University of Science participated in ASIIN accreditation at the undergraduate level (B.Sc.) at the Nguyen Van Cu campus in District 5. In particular, the majors participated in the accreditation are B.Sc. in Biology, B.Sc. in Biotechnology, B.Sc. in Chemistry, and B.Sc. in Chemical Technology.

ASIIN stands for Accreditation Agency for Study Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics) and is a highly regarded accreditation organisation that is a member of all major international registers and quality assurance associations. They are allowed to conduct accreditation procedures for programmes and institutions in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, mathematics and statistics, computer science and information technology, scientific education, and educator training in Viet Nam.
