On the evening of December 9th, the 31st Vietnamese Student Informatics Olympic(OLP’22), Procon Việt Nam and the ICPC International Collegiate Programming Contest in Asia – Ho Chi Minh City in 2022 ended with great success and selected the best factors.
OLP’22 participated in 71 universities, colleges and academies across the country, with 74 students participating in the Super Cup, 177 students in Specialized Informatics, 142 students in the Non-specialized Informatics, 12 collegiate students, 45 students attending Open Source Software and 49 students attending Procon Viet Nam. Meanwhile, the ICPC Asia 2022 HCMC exam has 132 teams, of which Viet Nam has 125 teams with 375 students, and the National University of Singapore has 7 teams with 21 students.
After three days of competition, with the enthusiastic guidance of instructors, talent, solidarity, and high determination of students of the The VNUHCM-University of Sciences they had excellent performance and impressive achievements. As a result, the champion of ICPC Asia 2022, HCMC, belonged to the Team HCMUS-BurnedTomatoes. Specifically:

– The third prize: Hồ Ngọc Vĩnh Phát (Advanced Program Class of 2021)
– Bronze Cup: Thái Xuân Đăng (Bachelor of Talents Class of 2019) and Lê Bảo Hiệp (Advanced Program Class of 2020)
Mr Nguyễn Long – Member of the Central Council of the Viet Nam Union of Science, and Technology Associations, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Associations awarded the certificate of merit from the Viet Nam Union of Science and Technology for organizing and training Olympic Games for the Faculty of Information Technology, The VNUHCM-University of Sciences.
2022 HCMC International Collegiate Programming Contest in Asia
Team HCMUS-BurnedTomatoes (Lê Bảo Hiệp, Hồ Ngọc Vĩnh Phát, Nguyễn Vũ Đăng Huy – Advanced Program) excellently won the Championship of ICPC Asia. They won the right to the International Finals (World Finals 2022).
Thus, the Team HCMUS-BurnedTomatoes has continuously won the Championship of ICPC Asia in 2021 and 2022.
