MOU SIGNING CEREMONY OF THE VNUHCM-UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND THE UNIVERSITY OF TASMANIA, AUSTRALIA

The signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the VNUHCM-University of Science and the University of Tasmania (Australia) took place in the Nguyen Van Cu Campus was hold on November 24th, 2023.

This signing ceremony is solely related to the cooperation of the Department of Oceanography, Meteorology and Hydrology of the Faculty of Physics – Engineering Physics, VNUHCM-University of Science and the University of Tasmania, Australia.

– Mr Ciaran Chestnutt, Deputy Consul General of the Australian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City;
– Dr Andrew Fischer from the University of Tasmania, Australia;
– Ms Helen McClure, Deputy Director of the International Department of Future Students from the University of Tasmania, Australia;
– Ms Thủy Phan, Director of Office in Viet Nam of the International Department of Future Students from the University of Tasmania, Australia;
– Associate Professor Kameyama Sohiko from the University of Hokkaido, Japan;
– 09 students and graduate students from the University of Tasmania, Australia.

– Dr Võ Hồng Hải, Deputy Head of the Foreign Relations Office;

Signing content

  1. Collaborate on research on issues related to the Ocean, environment, shoreline change, Ocean-Atmosphere interaction and climate changes.
  2. Training and education through organizing short-term classes to enhance knowledge of ocean research technology such as Remote sensing called GIS, Mathematical modeling and Field researcher skills.
