The 2nd Olympic Prize for Vietnamese Students took place from 25th to 28th August 2022 at the VNUHCM-University of Science. This event saw the participation of teams from universities, colleges, and academies across the country, representing faculties and departments related to Biology, Biotechnology, and Life Sciences. The competition encompassed both theoretical and practical aspects of General Biology.

This year, the contest team from the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology at VNUHCM-University of Science consisted of:

– Assoc. Prof. Trần Văn Hiếu – Team Leader;

– M.Sc. Nguyễn Trung Hậu – Deputy Team Leader;

– Lê Trương Thắng – Student of the Faculty of Biology, Class of 2018;

– Lê Phương – Student of the Faculty of Biotechnology, Class of 2019;

– Nguyễn Trần Hải Yến – Student of the Faculty of Biotechnology, Class of 2018;

– Nguyễn Thế Quang – Student of the Faculty of Biotechnology, Class of 2019;

– Huỳnh Đào Minh Châu – Student of the Faculty of Biotechnology, Class of 2019.

At the conclusion of the contest, the team from VNUHCM-University of Science achieved an outstanding result, securing third place overall.

All five students from the participating team received prizes:

– 1 First Prize: Huỳnh Đào Minh Châu;

– 3 Second Prizes: Nguyễn Thế Quang, Nguyễn Trần Hải Yến, and Lê Phương;

– 1 Third Prize: Lê Trương Thắng.
